Flipping Houses on T.V.

I am a big fan of all the television real estate shows. I like the ones on flipping houses and my favorite of those is the one with Trademark Properties’ Richard Davis and Ginger. I have recently learned that Richard is suing A&E and there is a website called “Flip This Lawsuit” dedicated to covering this case. If you are a fan of the show like I am, you may find the website of interest.

Another of these shows on flipping houses featured a man from Atlanta named Sam Leccima. It seems Sam was once a real estate agent in Georgia but had his license revoked in 2005 and has been accused of ripping investors off. The local Fox News in Atlanta has been broadcasting stories on his questionable business practices. A&E has taken Mr. Leccima off the show. The investigative reporter in Atlanta, Dale Russell has a blog site you may find very interesting.

It seems that the flipping shows on A&E are very unrealistic. They say things like it took 14 days to renovate a house when it actually took more like 2 months. Landscaping is put in just for the show and then removed. They claim the house sold at an open house at the end of the 14 day renovation when many of those houses are still not sold.

Richard Davis of Trademark Properties first called his new show on TLC “The Real Deal” and it has recently been changed to "The Real Estate Pros".  I really enjoy this show. They have a blog you can participate in.

Visit some of these websites, especially if you are thinking of getting into house flipping yourself. Don’t forget to return here to my site, RealtorThomspon.com.
